The black oak finish makes it moodier and more defined, while the relief detailing and notch handles stop it feeling flat or heavy-handed. You still get the practical bits that matter, namely two side-opening doors, a lift-down centre section with internal shelf, and a cable outlet to keep the usual media mess under control. Useful, yes. But also rather handsome, which is not always the case with entertainment units.
